Burmester 897 Top Line Preamplifier + optional MC Phono Board Switchable 240V-120V voltage Mint!

For sale is Burmester 897 Top Line preamplifier in beautiful fresh almost unused condition. No scratches, dents or even a slightest hint of wear. I doubt that you will find a 897 somewhere in better condition than it. This is a rare latest silver/chrome version with same stepped attenuator as in 808 MKIII. Actually most key parts are same as in 808 MKIII and it sounds extremely close at a fraction of the cost. The sound is utterly clear, silky, with just a touch of warmth and of course with Burmesters deep holographic imaging. I have owned a ton of different preamps and can say that it can can put most of the latest and more expensive preamps in shame. It was their Top Line preamp so not much compromises were made when it was designed. I can also sell it without the optional MC phono board if you don`t need a phono stage. The price with MC phono board installed is $2250 and $1950 without MC board. The phono module is same as in 877. I have listed my 877 MKII XLR here also and I can change the MC module with ADA module inside my 877. This means that you can use phono input as an additional unbalanced line level input. Factory MC phono stage is fully adjustable for MC cartridges with internal DIP switches. It is all explained in the owners manual. If interested I can also email you the PDF manual. I have a copy of the owners manual (English and German) and standard European power cord. I don`t have the original packing, but I have made much more secure packing for it. It is European voltage 220-240V ~ 50Hz but voltage conversion to 120V ~ 60Hz is very easy.
