Classé CA-301 Solid State Power Amp

Here is your chance to own a Classe' CA-301 power amp in near mint condition. I have rated it 9/10 to and I can't find a single flaw anywhere on this amp. It has served as the 2-channel stereo amp in my main system, then was moved to power the rears in my home theater. World class sound with technology trickled down from the Omega series. Beautiful styling and casework wouldn't mean much if it didn't sound great but it does. The ONLY reason for sale is I have upgraded my entire system and replaced this with a CA-401.

This thing is a beast and seems to have an almost bottomless supply of base, but also produces the most delicate whispers when required. A very transparent amp that will give you back exactly what you put into it with amazing clarity.

The Classé CA-301 was developed using the knowledge gained from the development of the spectacular OMEGA Series.
We knew we were embarking on a great adventure when we started the cost-no-barrier design exercise which culminated in the development of the OMEGA Series of amplifiers and pre-amplifiers. Through the exercise we discovered the revolutionary OMEGA circuit designs, with the result that each product in the OMEGA Series has no sonic equal.
The CA-301 benefits greatly from a trickle-down of technology and represents a long step forward in amplifier design. Each channel of the amplifier is balanced from input to output, much like an OMEGA, and the amplifier has an over-sized, extremely well regulated power supply, again much like an OMEGA. The power supply of a CA-301 includes a massive, shielded toroidal transformer and a large number of small capacitors. We use large collections of small capacitors because they "drain" and "refill" very rapidly and completely, supplying voltage when required. A faster, cleaner power supply allows us a higher degree of accurate voltage regulation throughout the circuitry. This ensures that no matter what program material is being played at whatever level, the voltages at the various stages of amplification will remain constant.
The fast, over-sized power supply allows the amplifier to deliver the full current and voltage required to virtually any load. The CA-301 delivers sound which is clean, liquid, warm and effortless. Imaging, with the better recordings we all enjoy listening to, is both wide and deep. In fact, imaging seems real and human, without the artificial hard edges so common in lesser amplification.
