Classe CP-50 balanced preamp with remote and printed manual. Works well but selling as is. Please read description for details.

**It appears that people are worried they are going to receive a non-working unit. So, I have decided to allow buyers with excellent feedback a 3 day trial on this unit. Basically once you've purchased it (and paid for it) I will ship it (it is already double boxed) and once you receive it you have 3 days to try it and verify it's operational status. If you advise me within the 3 days (I will track when it is delivered to you) that you want to return it, then as long as you pack it as well as it is packed now, and return it to me at your expense, I will refund the purchase price paid for the unit itself (not the original shipping paid) once I have received it and I verify that it has not been tampered with. It has seals installed to prevent unauthorized opening of the unit, if those seals are removed, or show any signs of tampering, I will not provide any refund. This should help those who have been thinking about it but are worried that they will receive a doorstop. I assure you this is not a doorstop! It works and sounds great but had a gremlin which I was honest enough to advise up front. Read the reviews online and follow the instructions in the manual carefully and you should end up with a high end preamp at a low end price. I've even dropped the asking price a little further.**

OK, so I struggled with this one for a while now. I've had this for a few years and it has a couple of issues.

First and foremost is the small ding on the front panel (see pictures) and second is the faded silkscreen on the remote, which I understand is very normal for these Classe preamps of this vintage. The picture shown of the remote looks worse than the actual remote, for instance you can still make out the word "mute" which is beside the word "display" (actually the e is partially missing but the mut are still there but very faded) and depending on the angle you look at it, you can see the word "volume" and the up arrow, as well as the brand name and the words "remote control". These didn't show up well in the picture so I wanted to describe it better. I would rate the remote as a 5 cosmetically but 10 functionally. Just the remote is worth a couple hundred dollars if you need one. The remote should have to be registered as a deadly weapon! It's essentially a carved out solid block of aluminum, very heavy!

Anyway, the only other issue with this preamp is that there was a gremlin of some sort when I first purchased it. Basically the display would sometimes go off for no reason. I had it looked at and there was no obvious problem found, since I got it back it hasn't acted up but I did want to mention it. With the issues noted I have priced this accordingly very low with no return.

I do not have the original box but I will pack it very well so rest assured you will be receiving the unit as you see it and fully functional. Beyond that as I said there are no warranties and/or returns on this. Please don't bid if you aren't sure you want it. For the person who has been looking for a great, high end fully balanced preamp at a super low price, you just found one.

Shipping (insured) set at $50 anywhere in the lower 48 states only. If it is less than $50 I will refund the difference, and as always if it is more I will cover it.

Last note, it does NOT have the optional phono stage, this is purely a line stage unit.
