Reluctantly selling a classic McIntosh C33 that I recently purchased from the original owner for use in a second system that has yielded priority to a once in a life time trip for my daughter. This is one of the most versatile preamps I have used with a ton of inputs and outputs including 2 phono stages that sound extremely good with a Project turntable. The preamp is in good condition for its age but has various physical marks including what appears to be white paint behind the back top of the front panel, rust on the top chassis input and speed switch screws, and a white two or so inch smudge on the left side panel. Front panel glass, knobs, and buttons are in good shape with no major signs of damage. Sonically, the preamp sounds great with an open transparent soundstage. While the volume control and listen knobs make no noise in use, the balance and equalizer knobs have a scratching sound heard when rotated indicating dirty pots that can benefit from cleaning. I do not have a box or manual. I strongly prefer a local SF Bay Area sale but may be willing to ship to verified PayPal addresses within the lower 48 states. Units sold as is. Buyer pays associated PayPal and freight fees. Check my other ad for the matching MR80 tuner. Also have an MC 2255 amp that I plan on listing later. Thanks for reading this ad.
