Conrad Johnson Premier 18LS SS preamp

Really impressive solid state preamp from C-J.  The first (only?) SS preamp to make the cut to the "Premier" line-up, I think.  I was well impressed with the sound and functionality of this pre.  The overall balance of the sound is what stood out most to me.  It's sounds corny, but...it just sounds right.  It does.  I know, I know...but it's what went through my head while listening to it.  Also, the remote/user interface is the absolute best I've ever experienced.  Why can't every preamp be such a joy to use?  Seriously, just the quickest response to buttons, ever.  And from any angle or any distance.  Just an absolute treat to use.  The only item I've ever had that came close was Mark Levinson remotes/interface, but the rubber buttons weren't as quick/responsive as on this beautiful all-metal remote. 

The sound is not typical SS at all.  Nothing flat or one-dimensional about it.  I think a lot of people would think it was a not-overly tubey tubed pre if they didn't know better.

Comes with everything original:  box, packaging, remote, manual, power cord...

It is about as close to mint as I've seen.  No marks or issues whatsoever.  Just the slightest signs of use.  Very clean.  Rated 8 only because I am not the original owner.
