Crown Straight Line Two preamplifiers rarely change hands. The reason for this is that they were extremely well built (in the US), were small (only 1U), and they sound practically invisible. Critics of Crown gear have been known to say they sound harsh though we believe this is only because most people are used to very "warm" sounding gear. Crown gear, especially, this pre-amp, is very neutral. Once your ears get used to it you won't go back - this could very well be the last preamplifier you buy.
This one is in excellent condition with almost no cosmetic blemishes (it lived its life up until now rack mounted). All controls and switches have been cleaned and it sounds amazing.
