The TPA3116D2 is the most written about "chip amp" in recent times.  There is a reason for this.  The TPA3116D2 gets very close to the Single Ended Triode tube sound, but with multiple times more power.   Some who have bought my amplifiers have preferred this mighty chip to their multi-thousand dollar 45 and 2A3 triode tube amps.  The TPA3116D2 does so many things right.  Imaging, bass depth, bass punch, spooky-real midrange and sweet, sweet highs.
This amp works best with speakers that are efficient.  Single driver, crossover-less speakers or 95db and above multi-driver speakers.  I've sold over one hundred amps and never had a return due to someone not liking the sound.  Most mass manufactured TPA3116D2 are built with inexpensive hardware and cheap electronic parts.  Many have very inexpensive wall-wart style power supplies.
This TPA3116D2 is built with many boutique audiophile parts and has a built-in power supply using an expensive 65VA R type transformer  and giant capacitor array of 68 220uf Rubycon YXF capacitors with four times the current delivery of comparable single 10000uf capacitors capacitors. The circuit board is mounted on a 3/4" piece of Sitka Spruce wood.  Read articles regarding isolation, the Mother of Tone, and the 6Moons article about the engineers observations with Class D amps on wood.  All matter vibrates at the particle level.  Many believe in using wood isolation platforms for their gear, why not isolate the circuit board itself?  The amp board runs completely cool. The famous BYOB amp is also mounted on Sitka spruce wood.  WBT style premium gold plated binding posts.  Neutrik RCA inputs.  Shielded Belden Brilliance input wire and Dueland 18gauge oil impregnated cotton tinned copper wire.  Silky smooth Elna Silmic II power supply capacitors are the last two caps feeding the amplifier.
The quality of the potentiometer is critical in these amplifiers.   This build uses the well regarded Alps blue velvet volume pot.  Tracking is smooth and there is very consistent resistance tolerances from right to left channels.   Amp dimensions are 11"wide x 15"deep x 4.5"in height.
Please read my Audiogon feedback and numerous forum posts about my Fleawatt TPA3116D2 amps.   You may also view my blog at:  www.fleawatt.blogspot.com My screen name is "Cervelorider", but I'm the proprietor of Fleawatt.  This amplifier is new. Shipping is a flat fee of $35 via Fed Ex or USPS to US addresses only.  PayPal only.
I've been asked about a warranty.  My usual response is a "Lifetime Warranty".  As long as I'm alive, I'll fix the amp if anything were to ever go wrong.  These are not a mass manufactured amplifiers made on an assembly line.  These are lovingly, one at a time, hand built amps by a fellow audiophile.  Each one is burned in for 48 hours prior to shipping.  All the benefits of knowing who built it go along with ownership.   I'm always just an e-mail away to answer any questions or discuss modifications.
