I bought this from a fellow member here on September 30th of this year, wishing to at long last find out what all the buzz was/is about. I have a soft spot in my heart/head for "vintage" audio and GAS has been buzzing around in my head for decades
As stated in the previous owner's ad, it was serviced in 2014. I had no reason to doubt that since he, like myself, has 100% positive feedback here,
It arrived as described, with some minor indications of use. Nothing at all major nor anything that is noticeable when in or on your rack.
This amp sounds very much like my 70's era stereo receivers do - quite forward, with mids and bass quite noticeable. It is rated at 80 watts per channel into 8 ohms. According to some this is the best sounding GAS amp produced.
1.) The power meters are 100% functional although the glass is somewhat gauzy appearing with the power off. Once powered up the meters are clearly visible.
2.) The on/off switch on its face is sticky, something not mentioned in the original seller's ad but nothing I found to be of consequence. At any rate I have to assume its an easy fix.
My price reflects that. Other than the aforementioned issues I found, it works fine.
I'm thinning out my herd of excess audio equipment.
This is offered as LOCAL pickup only. No box, no manual, but there's a plethora of information on the web.
I'm a 100% positive feedback buyer and seller here, so inquire/purchase with confidence.
Thanks for looking,
