FOR SALE- Great American Sound -THALIA servo- loop solid state preamp, made in the same city Marantz was once based out of, Chatsworth, California - U.S.A. We know what you are wondering, why would someone sell a piece of equipment like this on Audiogon instead of on fleabay where it belongs? Well the answer is simple, (1) We have not forgotten what it was like when we first got into audio and what money we had to invest would not even pay the tax on what the reviewers and stores were saying was the latest and greatest thing to ever happen to the audio industry (2) After cleaning and servicing this unit and listening to it for several days we came to the conclusion that this may be a cheap little preamp but it sure doesn't sound cheap. It is not the prettiest pup in the litter, it has some scratches on it and the back panel has some little spots all over it like it has measles. (check the pictures) None of that can deter from how good this little preamp sounds. The unit has been serviced and tested all functions work perfect.
