Excellent condition, one mature owner, comes with original packing and accessories. Truly an outstanding integrated amplifier with terrific built-in DAC. True dual mono and massively powerful but delicate sound, and quiet as can be. In his Stereophile review, Kalman Rubinson noted the HK990's sound was "uncompromised," and the DAC's performance was indistinguishable from his usual digital sources. Please read the review, and, most importantly, read the outstanding measured specifications. Two years ago I bought a Benchmark DAC1 HDR as an upgrade, but, returned it when I could not reliably perceive a difference between the HK990's DAC and the DAC1 HDR, and I really wanted the DAC1 to be better. It wasn't. The HK990 also has a fine, quiet, MM/MC phono section. I am moving to an 8-channel active system and no longer use this fine amplifier. The box has some wear but is structurally uncompromised; the amplifier has one tiny mark on the faceplate, and a small, thin, cosmetic, crack in upper corner of plastic faceplate--see photos. I am very fastidious about my equipment, and have looked straight at it hundreds of times over the last four years, but noticed neither blemish until examining the amplifer in a bright room with a flashlight yesterday. 7/10 rating is strictly by Audiogon's rating system requiring 7 if there is a mark on the face plate; there are no other flaws other than the two mentioned; no wear, pitting, or other wear factors mentioned under 7. In every other way it is an 8 or 9. No trades or low ballers, please.
