A rare opportunity to purchase and own a pair of Hypex NCore NC400BTL bridged tied load mono blocks, rated 400/800/1200W @ 8/4/2 Ohm, 1 Ohm minimum, built by renown NC400 vendor and James Romeyn Music and Audio LLC. James has built NCore amps for two-time Grammy winner Alan Silverman of Arf Productions! in New York, two NC400 for Alan's neighbor Loove Labs Studio in New York, and for a tracking studio in San Francisco's Mission District. Alan emailed us that NC400, "...changed the way I listen to music..."

Each BTL mono block has 1200W Hypex power supply with current capacity equal to two (2) 600W Hypex regular mono blocs. Each BTL mono block positively equals the current and voltage capacity of two regular NC400 mono blocks w/600W PS, but with less distortion and twice the output at every impedance, including 1 Ohm minimum.

Amps are easily modified for Stereo function, 200/400/600W @ 8/4/2 Ohm, 1 Ohm minimum. These two amps in Stereo mode are exact performance equivalent of four NC400 regular mono w/600W PS. Upon request seller shall supply four new XLR and eight new gold binding posts to convert both amps, with detail instructions (or shall do the work for free).

NC400BTL outperform legendary NC400 Stereo and/or regular mono blocs at every power specification, even small fraction of a Watt. Search “NC400 bridged” for user raves v. standard NC400.

Seller built and sold these amps new October 2015. Factory Hypex parts warranty till October 2017 (Hypex has extended warranty dates for stock, non-abused parts).

Seller warrants all non-Hypex parts and all workmanship for five years from date of this sale, same as new warranty.

Built to every Hypex specification. Includes optional OEM “nAMPON” (negative amp on) switch, which mutes input and reduces idle current to only 4W. Ideal use is toggle up for normal play during the day, toggle down to mute input and 4W idle while sleeping. Such use of the nAMPON switch increases NC400 shelf life beyond NC400 lacking nAMPON switch.

Includes optional Hypex recommended metal foil “synchronizing” capacitor across the speaker outputs (see images, wrapped with brown putty for mechanical damping). Class 2 wiring per Hypex spec minimizes noise with unbalanced source.

Neutrik XLR input with gold contacts. Large heavy duty binding posts with gold contacts. 8mm thick natural brushed alloy face plate. To prevent top plate ringing, top damped with self-adhesive asphalt type damping sheet and damping pads added to chassis at mating surfaces.
