I bought this amp in 2008 and it sat unused for 6 of the past 9 years.  100% functional and in aesthetically great shape.  This particular Model 1 (S/N 1050) does NOT have the bridging switch to use it as a monoblock.  I love this amp so much that I bought 2 more used ones (with bridging switches) brought them to Jeff Rowland who went through them and performed an upgrade to them ($450 each) for me.  I am now enjoying this pair of Model 1's.  But... this (my original) Model 1 certainly performs very well on its own as a stereo amp.  I live in Colorado a few hours from where Jeff Rowland Design is located.  If a buyer wanted to have this amp upgraded I would consider doing that for the $450 that Jeff charges plus $100 for my travel time.

Questions for the seller
Hi, What does the Rowland $450 upgrade consist of? Thanks, Cort
Hi Cort, Sorry for my delayed (and ultimately lame?) response ;-) It may consist of Jeff Rowland waiving his magic audio wand over them! Honestly? I forgot the precise explanation that Jeff himself gave to me, I'll [filtered] him and see if I can get my memory refreshed as to exactly what he replaces. The invoice for the work I had done on my 2 new amps simply reads "Updated both units to Series II" and "retested and meets S2 specs" It's a longish audio story but basically I was pleasantly surprised to find that Jeff Rowland himself does repairs of his old amps. Whe I met him in person with 2 questionable Model 1's that I took a chance on buying through e-bay he tested them on teh spot, said there was nothing seriosuyly wrong (a blown fuse, a loose solder connection) and then asked me if I might want to do this "series 2" upgrade to which I pause d moment and said "sure, why not". If Jeff Rowland thought it made a significant difference I thought it would be a good investment. I did not do an objective "A B" test when I swapped out my original Model 1 that is now for sale here with my 2 new ones that I am now enjoying. I went for one Model 1 running 2 channels to 2 upgraded Model 1's monoblocked which... are sounding FANTASTIC to my ears! So... I'll see if I can get a response from Jeff as to the details of what a "series II" upgrade consists of.
