Very late model (serial #6802) Mark Levinson No. 23.5 in exceptionally rare, near mint condition with original factory packaging.
This is one of the last production 23.5s made, with RCA jacks on the single ended inputs (most 23.5s have CAMACs, which require an adaptor). Originally $7,495, or $13,735 in 2017 dollars.
Just removed from tri amped system. Plays beautifully. No distortion, static, hum, or other unwanted sounds.
See photos for outstanding physical condition. No noticeable dings, dents, scratches, or stains. The faceplate, handles, top plate, and heatsinks are all exceptionally clean. There is no purplish discoloration on heatsinks or faceplate handles (which is typical sign of being overdriven or improperly biased). Minor scuffs on rear. Front panel lettering and logo are crisp and white (most older ML amps have worn or faded graphics).
If you've always wanted a 23.5 - or already have one and want to bi-amp your speakers - this is the one to get. You can occasionally find them cheaper, but not in this condition and almost never with packaging (essential in order to ship safely).
Rather than go back and forth with offers I've price this fairly at a buy it now price. It's about 15% higher than most 23.5s (usually $3K) but it's in unusually nice condition, is a later model that doesn't require expensive CAMAC adaptors, and has the packaging - so I think the extra 15% is fair.
Also for sale elsewhere, so first come, first served.
