Luxman L-590a mkII

I am reluctantly selling my magnificent Luxman L-590A-II integrated amplifier. This is Luxman's top-of-the-line 80th Anniversary edition integrated amp, originally selling for $9,500.  It does everything.  It is an integrated stereo amplifier, with a superb mm and mc phono stage, both balanced and RCA inputs and outputs, and has an excellent headphone amplifier.  This is the more desirable version with the flip-down door to hide the tone and other control knobs and switches when not in use.  It operates in pure class A, and is very conservatively rated at 30 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 60 watts into 40 ohms.  Do not worry about the modest power rating, this amplifier will drive anything.  I used it on my Audio Physic Virgo IIs, Talon Khourus X Mk. IIs, Gallo References, and Quad ESL-63s and 989s, and all were driven beautifully.  It has a neutral to slightly warm presentation, with extended delicate highs, an exquisite tube-like midrange to die for, and deep solid bass.  The soundstage is immense, airy, and finely-detailed.  The L590A II weighs over 50 pounds and is built like a tank.  The knobs operate with a silky action.  This is an original American market unit.  I have cared for it for ten years, and I purchased it as a floor demo directly from a dealer, so I am essentially the first owner.  There are no mechanical or visible flaws.  It comes with the original remote and manual, and has the original bullet-proof Luxman double boxes and packaging.  I would not hesitate to ship this anywhere.  Read the rave reviews at:  http://6moons.com/audioreviews/luxman4/luxman.html
