I purchased these Marantz amps from a doctor in Texas, had them sent to Jena Labs in Oregon who is known for there mod work on these amps and then received them. They are absolutely pristine and sound wonderful. I have all Hi efficiency speakers or I would keep them forever. I have origanal packing and all the paperwork. I am honestly sorry to see them go but I've got to much stuff. The mods by Jena Labs were $2500.00

| Hi, can the mod be undone? I'm sure it probably could by sending it back to Jena Labs but I'm not sure why you would want to do that. The mod did not touch the general topology of the amp. Nothing in the original amp was removed or changed |
| So what was involved in the mod? Jena labs does not touch the original topology of the amplifier. They add damping material and replace all input and output connectors with Cardas cryo treated connectors and replace internal wiring with better suited wire. You can contact Jena Labs for further explanation. Jena can explain the whole deal but it was worth it and she does it frequently |
| By these amps buyers are interested only in buying original units with no modification.
What is the cost of bringing these amps back to original condition?
May be you could ask the people who did the modification? The origanial topology of the amps was not touched. They did things like adding damping material and installing cryo treated binding posts. They are very much the origanal amps |
