The Marchand is the only active analog crossover that allows the user to define the order and SLOPE (Q) of each channel independently. This permits the user to customize the filters to match exactly the OEM crossover which may not have orthodox filters (ie not Butterworth, Besel or L-R). The current unit is set-up for a Magnepnan IIIa with custom filters. I will include additional modules:3rd order LP at 300 Hz, 2nd order HP at 500 Hz, L-R (LP & HP) at 400 Hz and L-R at 340 Hz. Modules from Marchand cost $15 so this is a $180 value. Modules can easily be modified with simple soldering.
The XM-44 has independent gain controls from -6 to +5 db in 1 db steps so the gain of dissimilar amplifiers can be match (very important). This unit has BALANCED and UNBALANCED inputs and outputs.
