For those not familiar with this brand, ACCUSTIC ARTS is a first rate GERMAN firm who design and manufacture a full line of world-class electronics, in the vein of Mbl and Burmester. Incredibly powerful and refined sound quality, build quality exhibiting and obsessive attention to detail, and a thoughtful and user friendly interface and features is what you will find in all Accustic Arts products.

This particular Preamp 1 Mk2 is in mint condition. 3 XLR and 2 RCA inputs, as well as 2 XLR outputs and one RCA output. It also has a home theater bypass RCA input for seamless use in a dual purpose two channel audiophile and surround sound home theater application.  

The Preamp 1 Mk 2 is the second generation of the original, and offers a number of circuit and parts quality improvements over the original Preamp 1. Our shop has been an authorized dealer for this fine German brand for several years, and we're intimately familiar with the sound, which I would describe as powerful, musical, refined, and very, very low noise floor which renders fine detail just exquisitely. 

I'd characterize the sound as tubelike (AA also makes a full tube preamp, so this is no surprise) without the slightest hint of hardness, overly crisp solid state edge, but also very fast and resolving. It's simply a great sounding and very full featured preamp at a flat out bargain price. And the build quality is up there with Burmester or Mbl, after all, AA is 100% German designed and manufactured to standards exhibiting an obsessive attention to detail just like those other two cost-no-object German brands.

We have the original remote and manual, but the owner's wife unfortunately discarded the original box. Unit will therefore be professionally packaged by FedEx office prior to shipment using the most robust packaging possible and plastered with bright red and white arrowed "THIS SIDE UP"  and "FRAGILE - HANDLE WITH CARE" stickers on all sides of the box. Safe delivery is guaranteed by FedEx.
