Wyred 4 Sound STP-SE Preamp

Good condition Wyred 4 Sound STP-SE that has some nice upgrades from a prior owner. This preamp is fantastic at its MSRP, but especially at this used price which is well below Audiogon's Bluebook value. I'm only selling it because I there is other gear I want to try. This pre is completely overbuilt and is as neutral as can be. I compared it directly with my DAC's own preamp and volume control going straight into my amplifier, and this preamp is the closest I've heard to there being no preamp in the chain at all. No coloration, no harshness, and no compromise on detail or dynamics whatsoever. With transparency in spades and excellent bass control, you're able to hear any upstream changes in your setup clearly. It consistently is rated as an incredible performance bargain. It's hard to find a preamp in this price range that is fully balanced from input to output and includes such a wealth of connection options and sounds this good. The Mundorf caps and Dexa regulators made the most improvement by lowering the noise floor to non existent and improving the lower bass to near perfect levels. These regulators made a noticeable improvement over the Wyred 4 Sound discrete regulators.
