Dual Mono Integrated amplifier from Musical Fidelity, 150W into 8 ohms, weighs 45 pounds. Massive solid state amplifier with deep, clear and transparent sound. A Nu-vista without the tubes, the A308 series offered 90% of Musical Fidelity's top of the line at a much better price.
This amplifier is a special piece that does everything well, especially getting out of the way.
Large tactile volume knob with blue LEDs that rotate for nice bit of industrial design. Six inputs, including a MM/MC phono stage and a bypass input (volume knob does not control this input). The remote is included, but only the volume and mute buttons still work (source selection only works using the buttons on the amp itself or using a programmable remote: I used a Sony universal remote).
14 years old, but single owner and coming from a careful, smoke free home. Has always been kept in a cabinet. No visible scratches or dents, all LED work, and no issues with the amp. Original box included.
Special limited offer: I have a Shunyata Taipan power cable listed for $350 on Audiogon that pairs well with this amp. I will bundle the two together for $1040 total as long as both are still available.
