Recently spend $434 on
updated and recapped, etc. at Amplifier Surgery. Many years of musical
enjoyment left on this amp. This is the first version of Naim successful line
of integrated considered by many as the best sounding iteration. Is currently
going through the burning process got it back this week, but already showing
how good this is going to sound. AS silver wire interconnect and HiFitune fuse
are included. Cosmetics- 6 this is a conservative rating due to age and some faded paint. no dings or dents of any kind. Functionality- 10 recent complete overhaul, good to go strong 20 more years. Excellent packaging with foam insert and double box.
The bad: Some paint faded off on the top of the case. Lettering turned from white to gold color (normal for its age).Plastic cover over faceplate small pieces went off. Still in the burn-in process will
take a good 50 more hour to reach
The Good: Extremely musical sound. Significant
bass and dynamic improvement after the upgrade without sacrificing the original integrated amp's sound character. Quite an outstanding musical achievement. Update: this things is sounding incredible after 20 hrs of burn-in
