Not much, that needs to be said about these little powerhouses (250/430). They've been around, great reviews abound; and if you need anything beyond that...just ask.
Instead...I'll share a story:
This is my 2nd time, with these units...in my Main system. The 1st time around...I put them head-to-head, against some serious competition.
My dealer, had a client...who had just bought KEF Blade 2s! This is back, when they 1st came out. I was dying to hear hem...even though they were out of my budget. The dealer invited me to a listening, at the client's house...because he wanted to sell me, on the-then-also-new Theta Prometheus monoblocks.
I'd love to share a pic of the system and room...as it is probably the best, outside of a show or dealer (and better, than many of those even); I have ever heard. A hot-rodded Mac Mini, into a Aesthetix Pandora...running as DAC/Pre-amp. That fed the Prometheus, and Blade 2s.
The dealer, invited me...to bring along my newly-acquired mAMPs; as he'd never heard them, and was truly curious as to how they stacked-up...against the mighty Theta's.
First...we listened to the system, as set-up. Did I mention; this room, probably had 5-figures in treatments? It was really, spectacularly set-up...and the sound from that kit, was killer! Blade 2s...AWESOME!!
Then...after we'd soaked in a few demo tracks (mine); we made a quick swap-out, of the Thetas for the Wyred. Cranked things back up, after only about a 5-minute pause (aural memory can be awfully short).
I gotta tell ya; I thought there was very little difference to be heard! The "customer"...whose system it was...said the same, to me. The dealer went kinda nuts, lol. "Are you guys crazy! The sound-stage totally collapsed"; etc., etc. But...he either had his Theta ears on; and/or, was a little "embarrassed"...that the $12,000, Hypex N-Core Prometheus...almost got bested, for a 1/6th of the cost. The guy whose system we were listening to, turned to me...and just kinda rolled his eyes; and it's worth noting...that dealer, picked-up the W4S line...soon thereafter, lol.
Now...don't get me wrong: I'm not knocking the Theta Prometheus; they were killer, and are now, Stereophile class-A rated. This is more about, the HIGH law-of-diminishing-return; you get, with the mAMPS.
I'll post some stock pics; again...these shouldn't be a mystery to you. And I think I have pics, from the 1st set I sold; that show packaging, etc. Look at (and read) my feedback; I only buy like-new stuff...and it sells the same way.
Usual, usual; you pay the S&H (these are delightfully light. No 75 lb. amps to lug; you can literally carry, one in each hand!). PayPal is an extra 3%, unless we negotiate a flat type price, ahead of time.
Again...any questions beyond that; shoot. I'm an audiophile; I never mind, talking a little shop!
