PS Audio GCC-500 WPC Gain Control ICE Amp. (@ 8 ohms/1000W @ 4 Ohms)!! Reduced!

  
Up for a sale is a rare PS Audio GCC 500 watt (@ 8 ohms or 1000 watts @ 4 ohms!!) ICE Gain Control Cell amplifier. It's very uncommon to see the 500 watt version of this amplifier come up for sale. Audiogon doesn't even have this model listed in their database! All they have are the GCC 100 and 250. I'm thinking that's because there are a lot less of the 500s out there and they are seldom ever sold by their owners.    
  
If you don't know much about ICE amplifiers or PS Audio's patented Gain Cell Technology and how gain cell amplifiers differ from integrated amplifiers you should check out the links below or the Introduction page of the Owner's Manual that I've provided an image of. They'll explain the benefits of the technology way better than I can. For now, just know that these amps produce the cleanest, clearest and most accurate sound at any volume and do not produce hardly any heat no matter how hard you push them! You can crank this baby up to nearly house leveling volume levels and it still produces almost zero noise or distortion. The thing is, everything is still balanced, true sounding and clear, even at those levels. It's truly remarkable. For quiet listening they're equally amazing. All you hear is the music and you hear every tiny little detail and nuance in the beautifully imaged stereo sound. The signal-to-noise ratios on these amps are truly amazing. Oh, and did I mention that they're super reliable as well? They run really cool so components are a lot less likely to fail.     

This amp retailed for $4495 USD when new. ICE amps haven't changed a whole lot since then so this amp performs 99.999% as well as the new ones you can get for a lot more than $1295 OBO. I will also deliver it to you if you live in Calgary! Shipping charges will be the actual cost of postage, nothing more.
 
I'm the original owner of this amp and can promise that it hasn't seen a lot of use these last 10 years or so and has been very well cared for in a smoke-free home. It is in excellent working condition with no faults or defects whatsoever. The amp comes with the original remote, original documentation and in its original packaging.

(Note that the some of these reviews are for the GCC 100. The GCC 500 had a number of upgraded components in it vs the 100 and 250 so you can safely assume the reviews would even have been MORE positive if the writers had been reviewing the flagship 500 model instead.)
