This Remote control is like a mini preamp I used it for my non remote vintage gear. You can then switch between components and control the volume and mute. If you have a Mcintosh
controlable tuner or cd player you also have some control over the functions of those units
Original Mcintosh remote packing and owners manual Everything functions as it should although I have not used the cable connections for control with the cables included so those are not warranted
Unit looks great but I am going to rate it a 7 for age
