This unit is in perfect condition.
 
-  as far as I know,  no other headphone amp that uses 120 V rail technology, has dip switches on the bottom to alternate the output dBs - original manual - ac power cord - no remote.

* SPL makes no remote control, but instead, has a learning button on the back of the unit..and is very simple to program any remote in seconds.

 
I will pack with double bubble wrap and make sure it arrives safely. Note: no orig ial box, bought this unit directly from SPL; the shipping box that was very "environmentally friendly"- it fell apart in a few months, looked like it was made of stale Matzos!

As of this day, I don't know of any other headphone amplifier that is as convincing as the Phonitor 2. It can drive low impedance headphones and reproduces soft music with such detail and liveliness that you can comfortably choose moderate, relaxed levels to enjoy long listening hours. Moreover, the Phonitor Matrix makes listening with the Audeze and the like a real treat. But that was already the case with the original Phonitor. The real news is that you should definitely try the Phonitor 2, even if you are not in the market for a headphone amplifier, but rather a honest, high-definition, balanced preamp for an unbeatable price.
