Up for sale is my T+A Music Receiver. Purchased from an authorized dealer in March of 2012 and lightly used in my home's 2nd system. Incredible functionality in this product; see the user manual here: http://www.ta-hifi.de/wp-content/uploads/UM_Music_Receiver_260_UK.pdf
This one is the 24/192-capable version and running the newest firmware. Physically, this is a 9/10, with no visible wear or dings, just perhaps a little dust or marks on the connection posts.
Operationally it is as-new, save the CD Player, which was very finicky from new and within the first year stopped reading CDs. I never had it repaired because I didn't use the internal CDP (IMO it's too artificially 'warm' like a Rega Planet).
I used this receiver as an integrated, playing vinyl, or with the internal DAC which is really quite excellent sounding--no fake warmth, no digititis, just pure music. This unit can read music servers directly, which is how I often used it as it was hardwired into my network, or it of course has a full bevy of digital inputs if you want to use it as a DAC. It also has a built-in web radio player that sounds quite excellent! The digital section has 2 filters to tailor the sound to your taste.
As an integrated, the sound is very impressive. It has great drive and power, yet full of nuance and finesse. I find it relaxing to listen to, with no fatigue creeping in even over long listening sessions. It's a wonderful sounding amp!
Will come packed in it's original box with remote control. I do not think I have the printed owner's manual anymore, and in any case it's worthless as the firmware has changed functionality quite a bit. The link provided above is the newest manual revision.
I used to be extremely active on audiogon; however, this system has kept me so happy for 5 years that I hopped off the audiophile merry go 'round. It's that satisfying. So why am I selling? Well, I have a winter project in mind, and my wife said I have to sell some toys to fund it. Since this is a secondary system I use very infrequently, I'm going to start there...
Insured shipping to the lower 48 included. Paypal only, to confirmed address. MSRP was $4200 new.
