Extremely versatile digital/analog preamplifier and digital room correction system, with precision digital volume control and remote controller.
The RCS 2.0AA can be used as a standalone preamplifier, a room correction system, or both. There are four parts to the system: (1) analog and digital audio inputs, (2) analog and digital audio outputs, (3) real time digital signal processor, and (4) measurement microphone and data acquisition software.
Take any near-perfect loudspeaker into a listening room and its response will be virtually unrecognizable below 1,000 Hz, with peaks and dips as much as +/- 15 dB. This is significant because about 90% of the energy in music is below 1,000 Hz. The RCS 2.0 corrects not only the frequency aspects of the combined room-loudspeaker response, but also the time domain problems associated with delayed reflections and direct sound.
