The 2-channel M2500 delivers 500 watts into 4 ohms x 2 or 250 watts into 8
ohms x 2. The 4-channel M4300 delivers 300 watts into 4 ohms x 4 or 150
watts into 8 ohms x 4. Both amps are designed following five key design
guide points... Balance, Speed, Stability, Efficiency and Elegance. The
result is two new amplifiers that are the match for any on the world,
enabling TAD Labs to continue its mission of providing audio quality
that sounds truly natural.

M-2500 (stock photo above and below)

According to TAD Labs Director of Loudspeaker Engineering, Andrew
Jones, these new amplifier designs have been highly anticipated, “We
have been actively demonstrating our high resolution audio system for
dealers and consumers around the world. The arrival of the new M2500 and
M4300 give us substantial new flexibility with system configuration and
performance design. Since both the Reference One and Compact Reference
loudspeakers are designed for bi-wiring, these new amps also enable
additional system configurations beyond the ultimate set-up using TAD’s
previously introduced M600 monoblock amplifiers.”

Here are some of the ways the new M2500 and M4300 abide by the
five design ethics described above: Balance - In order to provide
precise speaker drive to the utmost limits, TAD strives for symmetry in
both circuitry and structure. By completely separating L and R channels
from input to output, along with power supplies and transformers, that
are separated between both left and right channels and positive and
negative rails, complete symmetry is maintained. Utilizing a bridged
transformer-less design with two amps in a balanced configuration, the
TAD M2500 and M4300 deliver remarkably clean, robust power across their
entire bandwidth.

To provide an overwhelming sense of speed and energy the analog
power supply is equipped with a high capacity toroidal power transformer
and electrolytic capacitors. Combined with a Class D output stage, the
result is high purity amplification with superior high speed response.

The sound quality of a Class D output stage is greatly influenced
by the power source. Both the M2500 and M4300 are equipped with large
toroidal power transformers that utilize high quality, grain-oriented
steel for superior magnetic saturation even during high power output.
Low energy conversion loss and low load fluctuation result in an analog
power supply with high drive capacity and high speed responsiveness even
under abrupt load fluctuations.

And in keeping with the rest of the TAD labs family of beautiful
audiophile solutions, the new M2500 and M4300 amplifiers are as
beautiful to the eye to behold and they are to the ear to perceive.
Their precisely machined chassis are formed from solid blocks of
aluminum, while the twin tones of black and silver for the divided upper
and lower halves of these designs produce a striking appearance. The
elegant, clean design embraces every detail, ensuring that either
amplifier will harmonize beautifully with any lifestyle decor.

TAD Labs’ M2500 and M4300 amplifiers will be a foundation of many
TAD Labs systems in the days ahead. Their combination of cutting edge
engineering and design grants them the full range of musical
reproduction capability - from the smallest musical nuances to the sheer
massiveness of lifelike orchestral impact. These new amplifiers
represent the solution to many audio enthusiast’s dreams.

Technology

Balance

In order to provide precise speaker drive to the utmost limits,
TAD strives for symmetry in both circuitry and structure, with the goal
of achieving perfect balance. By completely separating left and right
channels from input to output, along with power supplies and
transformers that are separated between both left and right channels and
positive and negative rails, complete symmetry is maintained. Utilizing
a bridged transformer-less design with two amps in a balanced
configuration, the TAD-M4300 and TAD-M2500 deliver high output power of
300W/4ch and 500W/2ch respectively.

Speed

To provide an overwhelming feeling of speed and energy, the
analog power supply is equipped with a high capacity toroidal power
transformer and electrolytic capacitors. Combined with a Class D output
stage, the result is high purity amplification with superior high speed
response. For optimum sound, TAD adopted very low on-resistance power
MOSFETs with no lead wires. Maintaining low heat generation thanks to
the high efficiency of Class D, the amps achieve high power without heat
sinks.

Stability

In order to control vibration that affects the sound, the
chassis is machined from a 90kg block of aluminum, effectively
eliminating all joints other than connections. This helps stabilize the
ground potential, further improving sound purity. It also provides both
high stiffness and high internal loss, achieving improved sound quality.
A three-point cast-iron insulator dampens any vibration transmitted
through from the feet.

Efficiency

The sound quality of a Class D output stage is greatly influenced
by the power source. The M4300 and M2500 are equipped with large
toroidal power transformers that utilize high quality grain-oriented
steel for superior magnetic saturation characteristics even during high
power output. Low energy conversion loss due to the strong coupling
between the primary and secondary winding of the toroidal power
transformer, low load fluctuation properties based on parallel winding,
along with our proprietary 33,000μF electrolytic capacitors results in
an analog power supply with high drive capacity even under abrupt load
fluctuations and high speed responsiveness even under abrupt load
fluctuations.

Elegance

The precisely machined chassis is formed from a solid block of
aluminum. The twin tones of silver and black for the divided upper and
lower halves produces a striking appearance. The elegant clean design,
extending to every detail, such as the elimination of visible front
panel screws, ensures that either amplifier will harmonize beautifully
with any room.
