PRICED FOR QUICK SALE! (I hope - not much room in the price, anyway.)

I've got a Tom Evans Vibe/Pulse 2 in excellent condition (absolutely no functional issues) to sell, just back from Tom Evans Audio Design in Wales for upgrade to the latest "Phoenix 1.5" version - which also includes version 7.4 of his amazing Lithos regulators.

This is the finest active line stage I know of, tube or solid-state.

You can see on the Tom Evans website right now that the price of the current-version Vibe/Pulse II is 6750 GPB, which is almost exactly $8,900 at the current FX rate.

I owned the unit before it was upgraded and sold it to a manufacturer of high-end loudspeakers, who used it as his reference, then sent it to Tom for upgrade. This manufacturer is now partnering with another gear maker and so wants to run that brand at home. I bought it back from him just after he got it back from the factory, a couple months ago.

Please note this is the more current model of the Vibe/Pulse, with the one-piece Pulse 2 power supply.

Here is what reviewer Jeff Day had to say about this preamp: "Whether Lithos 7 or not, even without the Pulse power supply, the Vibe is one impressive sounding preamplifier. It is extended at the frequency extremes, extremely detailed all through its range, smooth and tonally natural sounding, with great macro- and micro-dynamics and able to reveal everything in its rhythmic complexity. **A fully broken-in Vibe sounds like what you would expect from the best vacuum tube preamplifier you've ever heard except for one thing - there's no tubes inside it and it sounds better than any valve preamplifier I've ever heard - by a lot.**"

I concur and I've had many expensive tube preamps (Shindo, Leben, and many more).

Another review measured the preamp and found its distortion to be UNMEASURABLE - below the threshold of their equipment.

I have the factory packaging in fine condition.

I don't think Tom Evans provides manuals. I have bought new gear from them and did not receive one. There is info on their website.
