Wyred 4 Sound STP-SE with Mods. Includes remote. All mods were done by the previous owner and the unit has served me very well. Great price for balanced inputs & outputs!
This has upgraded;
2- Regulators, Dexa UWB " Series" Regulator (Ultra Wide Band)
4- Kiwame Signal path Resistors: 10R / 2 watt, 1.0%, Axial, Tinned Copper Leads, Flameproof Silicone Coated
4- 22000µF / 25VDC, MLytic® Audio Grade, MLGO (Glue-On 2Pin), 30mmD x 40mmH, 14 ESR (mOhm) 10 ESL (nH),
The
TI LM4562 OPAMPs in the input stage and the output stage have all been
mounted in pin sockets so you can roll your own. I highly recommend the
Sparko's Labs ss3602 discrete opamps. In fact I have transferred all
these mods to my Wyred 4 Sound STP-SE mod 2 and found that these mods
took that already stellar preamp to a level that I think cannot be beat.
The
Mundorf caps and Dexa regulators made the most improvement by lowering
the noise floor to non existent and improving the lower bass to near
perfect levels. These regulators made a noticeable improvement over the
Wyred 4 Sound discrete regulators that I removed from my Mod 2 preamp
(now for sale on another site).
The condition is rated at 7 due to
some marks on the outside. None of which are visible when it is in the
rack. All functions are working as intended. and the remote is
included.
