*Update* Price lowered to $1000. For sale is an Sonic Frontiers SFC-1 integrated amplifier in excellent condition. Cosmetically and functionally, this unit is perfect. On a scale of 10, I would say it's easily 8/10, but I would be conservative because of the age and list it as 7/10. There are no visible blemishes I can see. I am asking for $1000, but will consider reasonable offers. The Sonic Frontiers SFC-1 was produced in a limited run, and it is a truly amazing and sweet sounding piece of equipment. It's for music lovers who don't want the equipment get in the way of the sound. It's very transparent, and has very little sonic signature of its own. It's one of the most neutral tube amps I've ever heard. The rated output is 50 WPC. I've used it to drive a pair of Audio Physic Tempos (also for sale) and BMW Matrix to great effect. Check out all the high quality parts used throughout the piece from manufactures like Kimber, Noble, MIT, Solen, etc. And the build quality is outstanding (this was built during the heyday of Sonic Frontiers before they were acquired and became Anthem.) It's built like a tank with thick gauge aluminum, built-in bias meter on the back and a clean layout. The output tubes can be biased easily via flat-head screwdriver from the back externally accessible adjustment controls. It currently has 2 matching pairs of Svetlana EL34 and Mullard EL34, a pair of matching RCA 12AU7A, and one Amperex 12AT7. All of the tubes were replaced about 2 years ago so they still have a lot of life left in them. I will also include a matching pair of spare Mulllard EL34. I don't have the original box or manual, but I will box it well for shipping and include a print copy of downloaded manual. The unit's dimension is 19" wide, 18" deep, and it weighs 65lbs. You can check all the great reviews on line for this great piece. Here is one of the reviews http://forum.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/fr.pl?ramps&1041975839&read&keyw&zzdpa. I have perfect feedback score on eBay (eBay ID: xfg). I will pay for ground shipping to any address at CONUS. PayPal fee of 3% will be added to the final total if paid via PayPal.
