This was Sony's state of the art front end back in 2004 when it was a stereophile Class A+ rated component. I bought it used for use as a transport only. Light use, pet and smoke free environment. One thing I know doesn't work is the headphone jack. I never played an SACD disc because I don't own any. Does a superb job with redbook cd's. Giving it a 7/10 for age but cosmetically pretty clean. I don't have the remote.
