This player was a Stereophile class A rated CD player back in 2000. I upgraded to a Sony XA5400ES with a Vacuum State Electronic mod which has been rated better than any CD player available price no object. Truth be told my old Sony XA7ES stands up pretty tall against the 5400. Not quite as good but VERY close. For the 500.00 price this is a STEAL. This piece weighs 3 times as much as the 5400 and is built like a tank. PURE esoteric quality. If I had another system to put it in I would never sell it. Unit is in PERFECT condition cosmetically and sonically. Price is non negotiable.
