Loudspeakers with a cross-over -- even minimal crossover -- have more resistance on the positive (+) side than the negative (-) side, which creates a timing imbalance. Our new high-speed cables use an asymmetric design to balance the resistance in polarities from (+) to (-). On the plus side, the signal must travel through all capacitors and coils, greatly slowing down the forward pulse of the signal. The negative (-) side often has little to no signal obstruction to slow the driver in retrograde. This imbalance in the driver's amplitude affects the overall accuracy, and coherence of the speaker.  The result is far better imaging than symmetric designs and you'll find cymbals and piano sounding more real than ever; vocal reproduction will have better imaging because of improved accuracy and timing.

Hi dc10! I have the DC10audio Asymmetric cable 2.5 metre with Sitka Bolos and spades at either ends. I use 4 monoblocks so i run two pairs of speaker cables. The other pair are Wireworld Silver Eclipse 5.2. Whilst they are an exceptional cable, i believe your Asymmetric cables are more open and liquid. They sound more alive and vivid, yet remain very neutral sounding. They seem to be able to bring the music to life. All my amps and preamp are valves and these cables are a marriage made in Heaven! So I'm not into cables but I have dc10 speakers so I thought it would be a nice statement to have the matching cables with the pretty little wood blocks. I have an Audio Note system and had Audio Note silver speaker cables so I was sure that the dc10 cables would only sound a little less and would most probably be a downgrade certainly in price! Well, the dc10 cable are more open and the imaging is improved also bass is bigger overall more refined still shocked that I even heard a difference to be honest. It must be the cute little wood blocks :) Ted  NYC
