A bit of background for you on the cables. Randy lived in Texas when these were being developed. He eventually moved to California to produce and sell the Randal Symmetrical TX line which were revolutionary in the interconnect market. He was a bright designer and the purity of the copper and use of Teflon was up there with the big guys, especially for the late 1980's when many audiophiles did not believe "cables" made any difference.
This pair Randall Research 64 TBC speaker cables are made from ultra pure solid copper Litz strands with Teflon jackets. Each side has 64 strands; 32 strands per negative and 32 strands on the positive side. His proprietary weaved designed prevents exterior noise from entering the signal. I re-terminated the cables using Nakamichi spades all around, and shrink wrapped everything for a finished and polished look. It was painstakingly difficult to strip and tin the 256 Litz strands to say the least, but worth it!
I put these cables up against everything from XLO, to Cardas and beyond. You will not find a better sounding set of speaker cables for the money...period!
Length is is just a tad over 5'.
