Hello, Audiogon community! After some time away, we are returning to Audiogon under our business name - The Music Room. We've previously sold under "callmecaleb" - a personal account, but we are now using our business name - tmraudio. We are always paying cash for used gear and trades are considered.
Not much feedback here yet, but we have a fantastic track record on the large auction site under username: valueauctions. With over 8000 successful audio transactions in the past 3 years under our belts, we are setting out to become one of Audiogon's top resellers of fine used audio products.
Shipping: We offer some of the best custom packaging in the business... we utilize an Instapak 900 Custom Foam packing machine when factory boxes are not available. When factory boxes are available, we always double box. We get great rates with FedEx which are passed on to our customers.
Payment: We accept all forms of payment including credit cards. We never charge our customers for Paypal or other processing fees. Other acceptable forms of payment include check, money order, wire transfer, Visa, Discover, American Express, Mastercard.
International Customers: We welcome business from around the globe. Please contact us in advance of purchase for a shipping quote. You are responsible for all customs duties / taxes as required by your country. Only Paypal with verified address or bank transfer accepted for International orders. This is a rare and beautiful set of original 1976 Klipsch Cornwall Speakers in a beautiful birch finish. These have matching serial numbers of 9P667 and 9P669.While these are the birch finish, it does appear that they have been refinished at some point. Overall appearance of the speakers is outstanding, but you can see some minor imperfections when you start examining more closely. A perfectionist, may want to refinish them again.
These were manufactured in 1976 which corresponds with the letter "P" in the serial number sequence on the manufacturer's tag and stamped into the rear top profile of the speaker box (only speakers pre-dating 1980 will have the serial # stamped in the plywood). To date a vintage klipsch speaker, pre-1980, you begin with the year 1962 for the letter "A" and advance accordingly, however, you'll need to omit the letters Q,V, and Z (they were not used in the designation).
These speakers are in perfect working order... all original. They've always been driven with low-wattage tube amplification. The drivers are all perfect except one cone has a little bit of discoloration. It looks like someone wiped with a damp rag using hard water or maybe too strong of a cleaning solution. The cosmetic condition is excellent... no rips or stains in the grill cloth and both of the Klipsch badges are intact. The gorgeous finish is not 100% flawless, but it does look outstanding overall. Previous owner is a meticulous collector that had them covered in soft sheets when not in use. There are a couple of little nicks at the back bottom corners and a couple of very small scuff marks on the left side of one cabinet. Overall appearance is absolutely great - especially considering that these are 37 years old. They've had an easy life. See photos for details.
Shipping - Due to the size of these speakers, we will ship them via a freight carrier. We will secure them to a pallet and build a custom "crate" around them. This is THE SAFEST way to ship speakers... this way they are never dropped, rolled or subject to dangerous conveyor belt sorting. We get very good rates with FedEx. We can ship anywhere in the domestic USA for a flat rate of $199.

When factory boxes are not available, we utilize an industrial Spray-in foam machine to create a custom, foam-injected mold that is form-fitted to each product. This technology ensures that each product we sell arrives safely and our customers have a reusable box for future use. When factory boxes are available, we generally double-box. Large, heavy or high-value items will be designated for freight shipping so that they remain upright and are secured to a pallet for the ultimate in safe transport.
