Leslie 122 Speaker [Template]

Here is the story about this Leslie 122 Speaker. I have owned it
probably for over 30 years. In the day, it was my primary gig Leslie. As
some did, I modified it to be able to keep up volume wise with the
guitar players I use to play with. Consequently, I had replaced the
Jensen speakers with JBL's (lower and upper) as well as bi amped the
unit. After a few years, I realized that it might be louder, but the
tone certainly wasn't the same. So, I re replaced the JBL's with the
original stock Jensen speakers (which I kept) and took out the bi amps
and restored it to its' original condition, albeit the back panel. The
back panel had cut-outs where the bi amp was mounted. So I replaced the
back panel with a new ply-wood back that I cut. Finally, because it had
dings from the many moves, I sanded the cabinet, and painted it dark
brown (see pics).
