This is a RARE find -- Saras (tower of power) speakers from the late 1980's!
Engineered for the highest fidelity back then (read below why), and will go up against any Bose speaker today! These cost $1500 for each tower back then. Research them, and you will be amazed!

These are one of those classic collector items that still function powerfully. These have a certain musical magic that you don't find in most of the hi-fi out there, or in today's high-tech music world. These are the real deal.

DETAILS:
A PAIR OF GREAT SOUNDING SARAS ST200A SPEAKERS, IN NICE CONDITION AND FULLY OPERATIONAL ... and of the sound, the power!

Saras of America Speakers
These are from a West Coast boutique audiophile speaker company circa mid 1980's. The company was owned by Famed Volleyball legend Randy Stoklos' father and he sold them to high end stereo salons in and around Southern California.

Cult status reputation for great sound quality and furniture grade cabinets made them a vintage classic.

CIRCA 1989, THESE SPEAKERS WERE PURCHASED FROM SOUND CENTER IN WOODLAND HILLS, CA. THE SPEAKER'S CHIEF ENGINEER MADE HIS OWN SPEAKERS, AND CO-INVENTOR OF THE INVERTED DOME TWEETER (EPI) AND WAS THE FATHER OF RANDY STOKLOS OF VOLLEYBALL FAME.

QUOTES FROM THE ASYLUM:

"These were IMO audiophile speakers to the highest degree. Very few speakers under two grand have matched the Saras in sheer accuracy."

"Saras made a three-way version called the 33. And a two-woofer "tower" called the ST-200. (If I recall- the ST-200 had an LED beneath the lower woofer that would flicker in the presence of excessive power.)

All superb speakers, with similar qualities throughout the lines. The speakers were all sealed-woofer designs, with a 1-inch inverted wood-pulp dome tweeters, one of the best dynamic non-compression tweeters I've experienced. Saras speakers did the "soundstage" thing before good staging became commonplace in speakers."

This particular pair of SARAs function wonderfully. They put out a surprising amount of bass for the cabinet size -- especially when they are positioned close to the wall as recommended.

SARAs are a very musical and detailed speaker that can justify the best of sources.

These SARAs are overall in very good condition. I am rating them 7/10 to be on the conservative side but I believe they are more like 8/10. There are the typical spike marks and rubs on the bottoms and a few very minor blemishes and scrapes. One of the SARAs has two areas of slight discoloration on the top as you can see in the photos. They are just a slight darkening that could be wood color variation but I think they are slight water marks. One Woofer has a slight tear on the Cone, but Can Be Patch or Glue.

The grills are the original grills, which is rare on speakers of this age as the foam can disintegrate. These grills are still in good shape. Again most of the flaws are small and not readily noticeable but I wanted to fully and accurately disclose the condition.

P.S. this price does NOT include the large, round woofers beneath the speakers, or the power equipment between the speakers. If you would like the fully-functional system, make me an offer I can't refuse (based on research of fair market values) :)
