Vintage Altec Capistrano 831-A Horn Speaker, Beauty, 1960s, RARE Efficient, Ex Sound, USA

Beautiful all original vintage Altec 831-A Capistrano single speaker, serial number 029, purchased from the original owner, non smoking, always in a non smoking environment. It is all original and has not been touched, 803A 15" Woofer, 802D Horn Driver, 811 Horn, N-800E Crossover. The back had not been removed since it was purchased new, totally untouched, unmolested, all original and a beauty. This is a rare version, limited production. See the beauty and the condition in the pictures. There is a place on the top right where there is some discoloration from being close to a window. The wood and finish is still beautiful, just lighter from the sun. The back left rear corner has a little ding, nothing significant. It is a beauty, very well cared for, sounds as good as it looks. It is hugely efficient, open, dynamic, extended, smooth, natural, involving and very very musical. It was made to be used with small tube amps, very efficient. The legs are glued into the cabinet, they are not bolted. This speaker can be picked up locally, or the buyer will pay for appropriate crating and shipping cost. It must be crated for safe shipping. Domestic shipping may be handled by a van lines or pick up and padded without crating.
