Spendor S5e Floor-standing speakers Maple

(EDITED 3-10-2012) Up for sale is my pair of Spendor S5e loudspeakers in the maple finish. I am the orginal owner and have boxes, manual, spikes and biwire jumper bars. Outstanding sound stage and tonal balance, pace and timing. They communicate the soul of the music with out being HIFI sounding. For the list price\they are tough to beat, and @ 895 they are a steal. Amazing speaker. Check out the online review available from Stereophile. I am selling because about a year ago, I bought a pair of Sonus Faber Liutos in a totally different price range for main system, the audio physic virgo II s have been sitting dormant and will now take the place of the spendors speakers in 2nd system.
Sorry about the Pics, Audiogon is trying to fix but they have not gotten back to me with any news. They are having some tech issue with the site change so I am sorry about that. They lost several of hifigurugi’s reviews during the last website upgrade. The speakers are in excellent condition, no scratches or dings etc and have lived in a smoke free home and were powered by a Naim Supernait. Due to the age, (4.5-5 years old) I initially ranked them a very very conservative 7/10 which I just upgraded to a 8/10 (still conservative for their condition) due to the fact that people were confused and asking "what is wrong with them" They are in MINT condition, never serviced, excellent sounding and I am removing the "AS IS" for it has confused some. I guarantee that they are in tip top shape sonically and physically. I think they would actually fall into the 9/10 range but I would rather under-promise and over-deliver to the buyer. If you are SERIOUS about purchasing at the 895 price, I will send you high Rez photos directly and you can see for yourself. The speakers can be bi-wired or bi-amped -- the jumper bars supplied by Spendor are included, as are the original carpet spikes.

The speakers are promised to arrive in good operating condition. They will be re-packed in their original boxes and packing material. Somehow over the 10 years of being a member at Audiogon (User-hifiguru and hifigurugi) they have lost some of my reviews in a prior site upgrade. Obviously, the Audiogon web upgrades have not gone so well for them. Perhaps they need to consider new IT help.
I also have a fantastic rating on Ebay as hifigurugi. My Ebay rating for 74 transactions is 100% positive. Price is firm and fair, and payment must be via PayPal. No other payment method will be accepted. I can only ship to CON US. Shipping will be via Fed Ex ground, with signature required. Buyer will pay for shipping and insurance. Note that there are two separate cartons to ship, so total shipping and insurance charges will probably be in the 70-100 range.
