ADONA Reference Zero GXT-2 Component Rack FREE SHIPPING

Up for sale is an Adona Reference series custom Zero GXT-2 rack. This rack comes with two 19” x 24” ‘Platforms’ that are 3 constrained layers – the top layer of stunning black granite. These platforms are designed to drain energy away from your component – the process being explained in detail on the Adona Corporation website.

I had this rack made to support my monoblocks with the lower shelf’s vertical clearance at approximately 14”. External dimensions of the frame are 28.5” wide x 22” deep and approximately 25” high with the two included shelves being 19” x 24”. These external dimensions would also allow the rack to be used as a stand for a large turntable with the platform resting on the top of the legs. Adona does make an over-sized platform (21” x 27” @ $375) for this purpose. The rack could also be rotated 90 degrees for wider but shallower shelf exposure. You should also be able to customize the rack to suit your needs by ordering different length support columns and adding shelves – check with Adona.

The rack being offered comes with height adjustable spikes for leveling – other footing options, very reasonably priced, are on the Adona website. The extruded aluminum support columns can be filled with sand and/or shot for added damping. Although the horizontal frame pieces appear black in the photos, they are actually a medium-dark gray.

Functionally the rack is as good as new and there are no scratches on the granite shelf tops. The support columns, however, do show some slight ‘rubbing’ blemishes mostly from where my amp’s heat sinks touched the columns on installation. I tried to show this in the fourth image but you have to look very closely. In all but one hardly noticeable exception, the blemishes can be turned to the rear when the rack is assembled. In the one exception, the column can be used in the rear and probably never be seen. Because of these blemishes, I am rating rack condition as 7/10.
