Here's a "priced to sell" deal on a real beast of an audio rack. This is Burmester's V1 rack, with macassar ebony shelves and matte silver aluminum uprights. Here are some measurements for the rack:
Overall height: 30 1/2 inches
Overall width: 27 5/8 inches
Overall depth: 17 3/4 inches
Width and depth of all shelves: 17 x 27 inches
Spacing between top and second shelf: 7 3/4 inches
Spacing between second and third shelf: 7 3/4 inches
Spacing between third and bottom shelf: 9 1/4 inches
Distance between aluminum uprights: 21 1/4 inches
The V1 stand itself weighs about 95 pounds - I don't know the weight capacity of the V1, but I think it would hold up my car! There isn't any piece of gear I know of that's too heavy to put in this rack.
If you can't pick up the rack from us here at our store in Ann Arbor, MI, shipping will be fairly expensive. I'll ship via UPS ground, and charge you my actual cost. If you're on the west coast, it'll be around $100; a little less if you're closer.
This rack was originally a demo rack here at Overture Audio. Although it looks very nice, there are flaws on all of the shelves if you look carefully enough - it was difficult to get them to show up in the photos.
The top three shelves are interchangeable, and there isn't a front and back to them, so you can rotate each of them 180 degrees. This means that there's a lot of flexibility choosing which side you'd like to have visible - most of the mars and marks would be hidden by whichever piece of gear you had on the shelf anyway.
There are no scratches or dings that go through the ebony veneer, and there are no dents or gouges that are serious. If you want an absolutely pristine equipment rack, spend the $5500 on a new one; if you'd rather save $4000, this is the one!
We are Overture Audio, a high quality retail audio and home theater store established in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1989. We sometimes offer used components and equipment we have taken in on trade for sale on Audiogon or eBay. In addition to our perfect feedback ratings, you have the reassurance that we are a real brick and mortar store, and you can get in touch with us Tuesday through Saturday during normal store hours at (734) 662-1812.
Unless otherwise noted, we ship our equipment to the lower 48 only, via UPS ground service. If you’d like to use a faster form of UPS, just let us know – it’s your equipment and money! Everything we offer for sale through Audiogon and eBay is guaranteed to arrive in proper working condition, but none of the equipment includes any kind of warranty, and all sales are final. If you have any questions about a component, or what is included with it, please ask. If the ad doesn’t mention a remote or manual being included, it probably isn’t! Most of the equipment we sell on Audiogon and eBay is used – we take a lot of effort to give you accurate descriptions and provide good photos. Although most of our trades have been well cared for, they probably didn’t spend their lives in a vacuum. If you are likely to get bent out of shape by a smudge here or a nick there, please call or email us so we can give you detailed information before you buy.
We accept credit card payment over the phone, or you are welcome to send a money order or cashiers check to us at:
2460 W. Stadium Blvd.
Ann Arbor, MI
You will be subject to 6% Michigan sales tax if you pick up your item here at our store, or if we ship it to a Michigan address.
If any of the above information seems unclear or unreasonable, please contact us for clarification before you bid or buy.
