This is an example of a custom plinth I made for an AR manual turntable. It is made from solid walnut, this particular top was a live edge piece with cracks checked using figured maple bowties.
The original plinth was made from veneered mdf which had peeled away. Someone actually tried to stain the mdf - the original wasn't salvageable.
With this unit, I improved the overall structure and quality to create something unique, more stable and a piece which will last a lifetime and longer. Owner has replaced the mat and ordered a new cover.
$875 is the minimum a live edge piece will run. Price can go up based on complexity of the templates needed, figure of woods used and other variables. I will need the original turntable shipped to me to create the necessary templates unless you have the same table I used for this piece. Buyer responsible for shipping costs.
