This is a pair of current production, 18" Mapleshade Rooted Butress Speaker Stands, with thin carpet footers in natural maple.They're in nice condition, from a smoke-free home, however they are missing the very small brass minipoints that normally sit between the pillar and the base. If you really need these, Mapleshade can supply replacements.
From the manufacturer's description:
The Rooted Buttress is a straightforward column stand, but extreme in mass and rigidity. The solid 12" x 12" x 4" maple base is rooted to the floor by four massive brass footers. A solid—not hollow—maple column of bridge timber girth, 8" x 8", is bolted to the base from underneath. Speaker vibration flows from column into base via the points, eliminating the reflections and micro-rattles associated with flat-to-flat contact areas. The all-solid design is crucial: any hollow metal, wood or MDF stand has internal resonances that seriously degrade a speaker’s sound, even if filled with sand or lead (which also deaden dynamics).
8" wide x 8" deep column rigidly coupled to a 4" thick 12"w x 12"d base.
Solid air-dried maple construction finished with four coats of clear, hand-rubbed lacquer.
Recommended for speakers up to 12" wide and 16" deep.
The sale price is for 1 pair (2 stands) and the photos are of the actual stands being offered. A shipping estimate is based on 2 x 40 lb. cartons or a total of 80 lbs. Depending upon where you live, figure about $85 - $125 for shipping via FedEx Ground. Local pick-up or delivery/meet within an hour or so of Troy, NY, is encouraged.

| Can you post a link to the missing mini points I would need to order? Thanks Regrettably, these are not in the Mapleshade catalog, so I can't provide a link. Also, they are not available from the Mapleshade retail shop, which I called.
If you want to pursue this, you will have to [filtered] Pierre Sprey at Mapleshade's tech line [filtered] to see if he will sell replacements. Apparently, the mini points are kept at the Amish mill where these stands are fabricated and are not available off-the-shelf from Mapleshade. |
