PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THE FOLLOWING:
Be aware that equipment racks with frames made entirely of wood have a tendency to expand and contract with changes in the weather. The temperature and humidity fluctuations cause the wood to swell and then contract which will loosens the joints and cause degradation of the stability and increase vibration. Equipment racks with aluminum sub structures mechanically "lock" at the connection points and will never loosen and cause the effects noted above.

Please take a few moments to check our competitor’s ads. Take note of some of the strange (sometimes even dangerous looking, like they’re about to fall over while taking your expensive equipment with them) designs and the sky high prices being asked. Then compare them to the value and excellence that our audiophile reference products represent. We think you’ll be quite impressed.
.
Just as the majority of the finest manufacturers of equipment racks in the world (it’s widely agreed that we have a place in that group), we use only hard solid northeastern maple to construct our shelves. If it’s the choice of the builders of these world class $8,000 to $12,000 equipment racks, then we’re proud to say that it’s good enough for us too.
.
We don’t tell tall tales, use confusing double-talk and we don’t have any snake oil to sell you.
.
We use only one straight forward, easy to explain technique of building our reference grade equipment racks and amp stands.
.
There are competitors that are using as many as a dozen types of construction to build their equipment racks and amp stands. Each uses a different construction, and yet each claims to be the best solution for controlling vibration.
.
We will build a rack specifically for your needs with any dimensions and any number of shelves you require. Please check with us for pricing.
.
Our tried and true, gimmick free Equipment Racks and Amp Stands have been generating an enormous amount of buzz throughout the audiophile community without ever making a sound of their own. Our closely guarded, secret family recipe?...thoroughly thought out, researched and tested designs and the fact that you will NEVER find any resonance producing crystalline materials like granite, glass, acrylic or stone used in any of our products.
.
Check out all the double-talk that companies use to describe their designs. While you’re at it, take note of the many strange (even dangerous looking [i.e. ready to topple over]) designs as well as the sky high prices being asked. Then compare everything you’ve seen to the extraordinary value and excellence that our audiophile reference products represent. We think you’ll be quite impressed. Cary Audio was, so much so that they purchased our stands and used them to introduce their flagship monoblock amplifiers at the CES.

We don’t tell any tall tales here and we don’t have any snake oil to sell you.

Each type uses a different construction, and yet each one claims to be THE solution for controlling vibration.

It’s easy for a manufacturer (us included) to shout the virtues of its creations, while telling you how much better "ours" is than "theirs". But, if what you’re looking for is that warm and fuzzy feeling before you plunk down your hard earned cash, check our competition’s feedback (some good, some extremely troubling) and then take a look at ours. We believe that the glowing comments from the folks who have purchased our products will make their true reactions quite apparent. We would also encourage you to take notice of just how much more of that positive feedback we’ve been receiving.

Our mission is to produce the very best Reference Quality Equipment Racks and Amp Stands possible. The goal has never been to meet the expectations of the audiophile community, it has always been to exceed them. We don’t offer different quality levels and grades of equipment racks and amp stands, as some of our competition does. Our research has always led us to one single, best construction technique and to a small select combination of materials with which to accomplish our goal. That’s the only way we’d ever consider building them.
.
We tested and evaluated many materials and build techniques in an effort to determine which was the best to manufacture our products. The results consistantly brought us back to one type of aluminum, one type of shelf and one vibration isolation mechanism to use in the manufacture of every one of our Reference Quality Equipment Racks and Amp Stands.
.
We have always thought that the key was to offer a well thought out, carefully made product and to use a straightforward, honest presentation in order to be successful. We believe that we’re on the right track and have been extremely encouraged by the rapid growth of our company and the high positive feedback that we have been experiencing.
.
You will not find a better Equipment Rack, Amp Stand or Component Platform anywhere...including those costing 2 and 3 times our price. Cary Audio Designs chose our amp stands to introduce their flagship mono-block amps at the Consumer Electronics Show.
.
We believe that our products are superior to anything else you can buy. But, don’t just take our word for it. Please take a few moments and read what the professionals have said. Check out a review that was conducted by Howard Kneller and appeared in "Home Theater & Sound".

Our equipment racks and amp stands are of the highest caliber, using the construction technique outlined below. If you are looking for a superbly built 2, 3, 4 or 5 shelf equipment rack, A/V rack or amp stand, check our other Audiogon ads or contact us for our competitive pricing. The examples of the Extra-Wide Equipment Racks shown in this ad have maple shelf dimensions which are 40" wide by 18" deep. A rack with virtually any width, depth or height can be made to your specifications.
.
The frame of each equipment rack and amp stand is built with precision CNC machined aircraft aluminum to create the most stable, rock solid foundation possible. The horizontal support beams can be infinitely adjusted to suit your exact spacing needs. Each unit is fitted with adjustable spiked feet (included, not an expensive add-on) which not only couple the structure solidly to the floor but which also allow for exact leveling adjustments. We include four metal protective pads which may be used (if desired) under the spikes to protect floor surfaces.
.
After testing many materials for the construction of our shelves, we determined that maple was, without doubt, the best choice available to isolate and control vibrations. Maple is the top choice of all the wood varieties. It is far sturdier and more effective than MDF, will not ring like stone, granite, glass or synthetic substances and will not contribute any resonant characteristics to the sound your system produces. Maple is more expensive than any of these other materials, but it is the best, end of story! The construction of our maple slab itself, makes it many times stronger than a single piece of maple. The maple couples to the stand using a proprietary shelf suspension system of load rated copolymer hemispheres which further enhance the vibration isolation of the structure. The maple appears to float on the aluminum chassis, but has become, in essence, one with the frame by employing this mechanism.
.
The particular equipment rack that is represented by the price in this listing has 3 maple shelves that measure 40" wide by 18" deep. The overall dimensions of this rack are 43"W by 21"D by 31"H. The weight capacity is virtually unlimited.
.
Our base price includes silver anodized aluminum for the support structure, 4 heavy adjustable spikes and your choice of our 8 stains to finish the maple shelves. For the extra-wide equipment rack shown, pricing of available options are as follows...spectacular satin black lacquer finish for each maple shelf $105, black anodizing option for the aluminum $325 and the maple trim insert option $215. .
The following heights are offered for your convenience and should act as a starting point to estimate your overall rack height needs:
2 shelf racks are 21" tall, 3 shelf racks are 31" tall, 4 shelf racks are 41" tall and 5 shelf racks are 53" tall. Please keep in mind that we can produce virtually any width, depth, height or number of shelves you require.
