For sale is a Studer A810 1/4" Tape Deck This unit was purchased from Mr. Bruce Brown of Puget Sound Studios fame. It has Extended Frequency Response Heads and has been lovingly serviced by another Reel To Reel Superstar Ki Choi. Here are some pictures of this unit at RMAF 2010 in Jonathan Tinn's room. If you read any of the comments or reviews of Jonathan's room you will note that this Studer got some really good press. This unit is ready to rock and roll! Barely used since I received it from Bruce. As you know this unit plays both IEC and NAB tapes. It was recently calibrated to RMGI911 tape so it's ready to go! You may see the A810 for sale from other sources but how often will you find one with the great lineage like this one? Included will be the factory manual along with the factory Studer Trolley and standard hubs. Hubs and reels that are pictured were Bruce's and not included in the sale. Local pickup is preferred but will have it expertly packed and shipped with the buyer covering these expenses. Price is $4350.00 obo. Remember, this is a great value for the price. Extended Frequency Response Heads, previously owned by Bruce Brown, serviced and maintained by Ki Choi and ready to plug and play. What more could you ask for? ====== Updated information from Ki Choi ====== Just to be more accurate; you might want to mention that the repro head is the Flux Magnetic Extended Frequency type and the record head is the original Studer NAB rec head. John French of JRF Magnetics rebuilt the headblock with replacing FMEF head and relapping the Record and Erase head along with ultrasonically cleaning the tape path and optically aligning the heads. ======================================
