JL Audio E-112 Gloss Black / Factory Sealed

Needed a new project so decided to redo my fairly small bedroom system with a set of vintage JM Lab Electras and was looking for a Thiel SS1 or SS2 to go with (let me know if you have one you want to sell). I have the SS1 in my living room that I like it a lot .... very "high end" sound with great extension as long as you're not trying to rattle the china.

Since the Thiels are getting really tough to find and I have experience with JL subs (used to have the V1 Fathoms and now 3 of the V2 F113 in my big room) called a buddy at an authorized shop with the intent of ordering one of the E110 but I quickly talked myself up to the E112 and shortly after a pair of them because I have a thing about symmetry and wanted the second .... "just in case".

I'm all for overkill but squeezing both of them into my aforementioned fairly small bedrom is gong to be more hassle than it's worth so selling the one I haven't opened.

Took the pictures that are attached when I was unboxing because I'd pretty much already decided to use just one. The one for sale is still sealed .... other pictures are just so you can see how well they're packed and how nice the sub looks. Even if you won't be using the sub where the finish can be seen the gloss is usually a lot easier to sell if you ever decide to do so.

Shipping
The packing on these is pretty close to what they use on the Fathoms but for a sub that, while hardly a light weight, is substantially easier to manage than the Fathoms which are a load. While shipping any of the Fathoms via anything other than freight is asking for problems these boxes and packing material arrived in fine shape and I have no problem shipping them out via FedEx ground with buyer paying whatever the cost (insured, signature required) ends up being. I can get it out pretty quickly but there will be at day delay between payment clearing and it going out because I'd have to schedule a pickup.

Sound
After first installing the one I'm keeping it seemed to be better out of the box than the F113v2s I bought a year or so ago. Don't know if it's mainly the difference in the room or that the beefier drivers on the Fathom series take some time to loosen up but the E112 blended in nicely right from the start.

Now, at about two weeks in, I can't comment on how its upper limits compare to my Fathom V2s (bedroom is small and I'm not insane) I can say It's been very easy to integrate with my system and get what I was going for which is the sense of seemless, articulate system bass with great exetension and without the sub ever bringing attention to itself. That's only with 20 or so hours worth of movie viewing so I'd imagine it will improve a bit more after it has some addtional hours of run time.

The E series subs have been heavily reviewed so there is no shortage of information returned by a quick search.
