Pair of REL 528 active subwoofers. The R-528 receives a Heavy 12TM active bass-engine coupled to a VariConeTM 12" carbon Fibre ABR passive radiator producing the equivalent of a 16" driver in an even larger cabinet. The power amplifier produces an effortless 500 watts with the aforementioned components means the R-528 is capable of underpinning speakers with quality low-frequency extension that cost ten times its own price. The R-528 is all about speed and detail as reproduced by the Heavy 12TM active driver, which is actually the fastest diver in the series with the best impulse response. Naturally, its capabilities suggest careful pairing, although it is capable of filling even grand salons with powerful, clean, fast and extended deep bass. 3 Separate Rotary Controls for Hi/Low Level, .1/LFE Level, and Crossover Frequency. Dedicated inputs for Hi Level (Speakon), Low Level (RCA and .1 (RCA). Extremely low crossover points that allow "seamless" blending with any loudspeaker. | Can you use both subwoofers with a single 2 channel integrated amp for stereo, and if so how does that setup work - how to you connect the Speakon for example Yes, you can use these subwoofers either as a LFE (.1 driver in a theatre application) or using the Speakon cables. I'd recommend one REL for each of your mains using the Speakon cables. You simply twist together the red and yellow leads and attach this to the red (+) lead either at your speaker or your amplifier, then attach the black lead to your black (-) lead of your speaker or amplifier. When using the REL as a sub-base unit to accent your main speakers, the crossover can be adjusted very low and the gain can be adjusted to match the output of your main speakers.
