I'm the original owner of a pair of REL R-505s in piano black, in excellent condition.
They come in their original boxes, with original unused Neutrik Speakon connector and cable, power cable, spikes, and user's manual.
They performed very well in my system, paired with Martin Logan CLXes as well as with small monitors. Lots of punch with excellent control made the bottom end blossom for both music and movies.
I'm selling them in the last phase of a downsizing process triggered by lack of time for music and movies. I rarely turned my system on in the past three years, unfortunately.
I never moved them from their placement except for taking the attached pictures. Carefully maintained in a smoke-free, no-children home.
Conservatively rated 8/10 only because the rear aluminum plates show some darker areas that, luckily, are out of sight. Other than that, the subs are in perfect condition both cosmetically and sonically. Never had a problem.

"I currently own a Rel R205 after auditioning a R505 I could only afford the 205 but when I stumbled across a going out of business sale the R505 fell in my lap and oh what joy. The R505 is a very musical deep bass machine, I hear my music like never before notes I didn't recall hearing before. Movies are a room shaking affair, accurate and precise bass reproduction. I use both the R205&R505 in my system and they both satisfy although the R505 takes the show up a couple of notches. Rels are pricey so if you can afford one go for it, they might not be for everyone but I saw them improve my sound on par with far more expensive speakers..."
