Denon DRM-74 Stereo Tape Deck [Expired]

I inherited this tape deck k from my Dad. I'm not the knowledgeable audiophile he was, but a musician and critical listener. For some reason, this tape deck sounds significantly better than several more expensive ones in his collection. I can't tell you why. I live in Berkeley should you prefer to pick it up.  No nicks or scratches other than the one on the left on top. Please see photo.
