PIONEER CT-F950 DOLBY CASSETTE DECK - ONE OWNER - SERVICED/RESTORED VERY NICE
By the late 70's, reel-to-reel tape decks were not yet a distant memory and many enthusiasts were still reluctant to transition to cassette. The cassette sound among the finest decks, with properly calibrated Dolby noise reduction could give the reels a real run in frequency response, and signal to noise ratio was better than many reel decks that did not have Dolby. But typically the best reel decks looked more Pro, felt more solid, provided a confidence level missing in most cassettes. Pioneer set out to change those perceptions and the Pioneer CT-F950 was in the vanguard to make that happen.
This two motor three head cassette deck has been checked top to bottom. Transport has been adjusted, record and playback bias has been calibrated, and the switches and controls have been cleaned. It has been well-kept and not only does it look nice and feel professional, it is working just the way it should.
HEAVY, solidly built, about 23 lbs - as much as many receivers and amps. About 30 lbs for safe shipping.
